Mooyah Burgers, Fries and Shakes to Expand into the Boston Area

A small Texas-based chain of burger places is going to be expanding into the local area.

The Boston Business Journal is reporting that Mooyah Burgers, Fries & Shakes has signed leases to open shops in Jamaica Plain and Northborough, with 20 more locations possibly coming to the Greater Boston area over the next five years. The chain, which is headquartered in Plano, has approximately 100 locations in 21 states (along with some international locations), but none in Massachusetts and only three in all of New England--in Mansfield, Newington, and West Hartford, CT. In addition to "never-frozen beef, hand-cut fries and real ice cream milkshakes," Mooyah also offers salads as well.

Mooyah first started out in 2006, according to a post within the franchise.org site; its website can be found at http://www.mooyah.com/
