The Puddingstone Tavern Opens in Boston's Mission Hill

A brand new drinking spot has come to a Boston neighborhood, and it moves into the space where another bar had been.

According to a source, The Puddingstone Tavern is now open in the Mission Hill section of the city, taking over the site of The Crossing, a neighborhood watering hole that closed in March of this year. (The owners of The Crossing now run Iron Furnace in Quincy.) Our source says that the owners of the Tremont Street bar are connected to both the Brendan Behan, an Irish pub in Jamaica Plain, and the nearby Mission Bar and Grill, which is located on Huntington Avenue. Food is not being served at the tavern right now, and it is not known whether they will start offering a menu at some point in time; as soon as we find out, we will post an update here.

The address for this new bar in Mission Hill is: The Puddingstone Tavern, 1592 Tremont Street, Boston, MA, 02120. Its website will be at http://www.thepuddingstonetavern.com/
