Amelia's Taqueria Plans to Further Expand Through the Boston Area

Last month we reported that a Mexican restaurant in Allston opened a second location near Northeastern University. Now we have learned that this is apparently just the start of a larger expansion for the eatery.

The Huntington News is reporting that the people behind Amelia's Taqueria are looking to open more restaurants in the Boston area, with the plan being to focus in particular on "well-populated" areas that are close to college campuses. The article indicates that opening around campuses seems to be the right fit for Amelia's, as the dining spots are open late and offer such college favorites as burritos, nachos, quesadillas, and tacos at prices starting under $8.00.

It is not yet known exactly where Amelia's might open, and what kind of time frame they are looking at; as soon as we find out more information, we will post an update here.

The address for the original Amelia's Taqueria in Allston is 180 Brighton Avenue, while the address for the one near NU is 309 Huntington Avenue. (Their website is at http://ameliastaqueria.com/)
