Sweet Caroline's in Boston's Fenway Neighborhood Has Closed; Exact Status Unknown

A restaurant in the Fenway section of Boston has closed its doors--at least for the time being--after being in business for a bit more than three years.

According to a Twitter post, Sweet Caroline's on Boylston Street is shuttered with its windows being papered over, and a call placed to the dining spot indicates that it has closed for renovations. There has been some chatter over social media that the restaurant may be reopening under a new name, though this has not yet been confirmed (as soon as we get more information on its exact status, we will post an update here).

Sweet Caroline's first opened in September of 2011, taking over the space where Fenway Cantina had been; the people behind Battery Park Bar & Lounge on Batterymarch Street in downtown Boston were behind its opening.

The address for this now-closed restaurant in the Fenway is: Sweet Caroline's, 1260 Boylston Street, Boston, MA, 02215.
