Confirmed: Fiorella's Express Is Moving into SingaBella Cafe Space in North Cambridge

[Ed note: This article was updated on November 10 to reflect confirmation that Fiorella's Express is indeed taking over the space.]

It looks like a pair of Italian eateries that focus on takeout may be adding a third location, with this one possibly taking over the space in Cambridge where a Mediterranean and Italian cafe has been.

According to a License Commission General Hearing page within the City of Cambridge website, Fiorella's Express is looking to open on Mass. Ave. in North Cambridge, with the address being the same as that of SingaBella Cafe. If the dining spot gets approval to open in the space, it would be open for lunch and dinner daily and would have seating for 20 inside and another 12 within an outdoor patio during the warmer months. Currently, other locations of Fiorella's Express can be found on Belmont Street in Belmont and Tremont Street in Brighton, and they also have a full-service Italian restaurant called Fiorella's, which is located on North Street in Newton.

Both SingaBella Cafe and the Newton location of Fiorella's have been reviewed by our sister site (Boston's Hidden Restaurants), with the reviews being found at the following links:

The address for the proposed Fiorella's Express (and SingaBella Cafe) is 2401 Mass. Avenue, Cambridge, MA, 02140.

[October 14 update: A note sent from Rich O's Ravings seems to confirm what a poster on the Chowhound site says, that SingaBella Cafe is now apparently closed (it is papered over).]

[November 10 update: A new note sent by Rich O. confirms that Fiorella's Express is indeed opening in the former SingaBella Cafe space, with a sign out front saying that Fiorella's is coming soon.]

[December 12 update: Eater Boston reports that the new Fiorella's Express in Cambridge is now open.]
