Presidents Rock Club in Quincy Has Closed; New Club to Replace It

A music club in Quincy has closed its doors, though the owner plans to open a new club in its place with a new name.

The Patriot Ledger is reporting that the Presidents Rock Club is shuttered, with posts from the club's Facebook page showing that it is in the process of being renovated. The Ledger article says that owner David Keville is looking to open a new club in the Hancock Street space, with the plan being to go from a rock-only format to one that includes an array of musical genres because the previous format was not "financially sustainable." A new name has not been decided on as of yet, according to the article.

The space where the Presidents Rock Club had been was also home to a couple of other places over the past several years--Bad Abbotts and Texas Saloon.

The address for the former Presidents Rock Club (and new club that is on the way) is 1546 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA, 02169.
