Oasis Cocktail Lounge in Dedham Has Closed

It looks like yet another Boston-area dive bar has closed its doors.

According to one of our readers, Oasis Cocktail Lounge in Dedham is shuttered, having closed around the beginning of the month. This seems to be confirmed by a Dedham Patch post from March 31 that says "R.I.P. OASIS" and posts on Instagram that indicate its last night in business was indeed March 31. Our reader says that a sushi place will be opening where Oasis had been, though we have not able to find out any other information on this (keep checking back for updates).

According to a page on the Manta site, it looks like Oasis had been in business since 1972.

A number of other dive bars in the local area have closed over the past couple of years, including Aces High and the Quencher Tavern in South Boston, Hogan's Run in Brighton, the Alumni Cafe in Quincy, Joey Mac's in Cambridge, and Sadie's in Waltham.

The address for this now-closed dive bar in Dedham was: Oasis Cocktail Lounge, 77 Washington Street, Dedham, MA, 02026.
