Bailey and Sage Is Opening in Cambridge's Kendall Square

A Downtown Boston eatery that focuses on salads and sandwiches is planning to open another location in Cambridge.

According to a poster on the Chowhound site, Bailey & Sage on State Street in the Financial District is looking at opening a second shop at 5 Cambridge Center in Kendall Square. A Board of Zoning Appeal Agenda page within the City of Cambridge website confirms this, with the post indicating that a meeting on the proposed dining spot will take place on Thursday, April 10.

[August 26 update: According to a new post on Chowhound (and confirmed by the restaurant's Facebook page), the new Bailey & Sage in Kendall Square is now open.]

Based on the menu at the original location of Bailey & Sage, expect to see a variety of salads, specialty sandwiches, and "traditional" sandwiches at the new shop, including such sandwiches as rock crab, prosciutto and brie, beef brisket, Cubanos, and turkey rachels.

Bailey & Sage first opened on State Street in September of 2010. Its website can be found at http://www.baileyandsage.com/
