Pizzeria Posto in Somerville's Davis Square to Debut a Food Truck

The person behind a popular pizzeria, enoteca, and trattoria in Somerville is planning to set up a food truck somewhere in the area.

In an interview with Eater Boston, Joe Cassinelli of Pizzeria Posto in Davis Square said that he is opening a mobile truck that will apparently be at an unspecified location five days a week, with the truck possibly being ready to go around the end of May or early June. This is just one project that Cassinelli is working on these days, with a second location of The Painted Burro (also in Davis Square) coming soon to Boston's Downtown Crossing, as well as a roadhouse-style eatery taking over the Rosebud Diner space in the square.

[August 3 update: According to a Facebook post from Posto, their food truck "has arrived," though it is not yet known when it will officially be up and running.]

Pizzeria Posto first opened on Elm Street in April of 2010, featuring wood-fired pizzas and more. Its website can be found at http://postoboston.com/
