OM Restaurant and Lounge in Cambridge's Harvard Square Has Closed; Future Unknown

An Asian fusion spot in the Harvard Square section of Cambridge has closed, and it is not known whether it will ever reopen.

According to a poster on the Chowhound site, OM Restaurant and Lounge on Winthrop Street appears to be shuttered, with barstools and couches being gone, reservations no longer being taken through OpenTable, and phone calls not going through. Another poster on the page says that the folks at Shanti in Dorchester (same ownership) mention that OM would probably not reopen, though we have yet to confirm that the place is gone forever.

Chef Patricia Yeo, who is known in part for being on Bravo's Top Chef Masters, had been involved with OM along with Moksa on Mass. Ave. in Cambridge's Central Square (and the now-closed Ginger Park in the South End of Boston). The status of Moksa is not yet known, though a recent post from Eater says that Yeo has taken a job with Big Bowl in Chicago.

The address for the now-closed OM is: OM Restaurant and Lounge, 92 Winthrop Street, Cambridge, MA 02138.

Thanks to Grub Street Boston for bringing this to our attention.
