Charley's in Chestnut Hill Has Closed

A few months after closing its Back Bay location, a saloon-style eatery has decided to shutter its Chestnut Hill outlet as well.

The Newton TAB is reporting that Charley's at the Mall at Chestnut Hill has closed, with a restaurant manager telling the newspaper that it would not be opening back up again. (This has been confirmed via a note on their website.) Last September, the Charley's location on Newbury Street in Boston shut down after failed lease negotiations, and over the past couple of weeks we had been hearing rumors that their Chestnut Hill location was possibly closing down as well, which now is indeed the case.

Charley's was a family-friendly dining spot that featured mostly classic American cuisine and comfort food dishes. They first opened in Boston in 1968.

The address for this now-closed restaurant in Chestnut Hill was: Charley's, 199 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill, MA, 02467.
