Blue Tierra Chocolate Cafe to Close West Broadway Shop, Merge with Bees Knees

A "chocolate cafe" that is located in the heart of South Boston is going to be closing its store, but it will still be around, merging with an upcoming market nearby.

According to their Facebook page, Blue Tierra Chocolate Cafe on West Broadway will shutter at the end of this month, with the plan being to merge with Bees Knees Supply Co., which is planning to open on Farnsworth Street in the Fort Point neighborhood (a short distance north of West Broadway) sometime around Thanksgiving. An article in the Chowder blog of Boston Magazine hints to this, saying that "South Boston-based Blue Tierra Chocolates will be merging with Bees Knees to be the exclusive on-site chocolatier."

Blue Tierra Chocolate Cafe is known in part for its handmade chocolates, pastries, and coffee. Its products can also be found at American Provisions, which is located on East Broadway in South Boston. (The Blue Tierra website can be found at http://www.bluetierrachocolate.com/)
