The chef behind a one-year-old dining spot in Boston's Financial District is going to be opening another restaurant, with this one being in the Theatre District of the city.

In an interview with Eater Boston, Jason Santos of Blue Inc. on Broad Street mentions that he will be opening a new dining establishment across from the Wang Center, which likely puts it somewhere on Tremont Street just south of Stuart Street and Kneeland Street. Santos states that the restaurant will have 200 seats and two floors of space, with an emphasis on American food

[November 1 update: Grub Street Boston reports that the new restaurant from Jason Santos will be called Abby Lane and it will be opening at 255 Tremont Street, where Dominic's Restaurant & Lounge used to be. GS also says that it could be opening sometime in the middle of this month.]

[November 13 update: A new post from Grub Street indicates that Abby Lane plans to open next Monday (November 19).]

Jason Santos first opened Blue Inc. last July after departing the now-closed Gargoyles in Somerville's Davis Square. The restaurant features an eclectic array of dishes, with New American, classic American, and Asian influences. Santos also appeared on the Fox show Hell's Kitchen in 2010.
