Dash Cafe Is Replacing Abby's Cafe in Brighton

It looks like the revolving door of restaurants at 5 Henshaw Street in Brighton continues, as the fourth restaurant to reside in that space in less than three years is on the way.

The EveryBlock Boston site reports that Dash Cafe has received a business license to operate at 5 Henshaw Street (which is at the corner of Cambridge Street, just east of Brighton Center), while the phone at Abby's Cafe--which has been in the space since last summer--has been disconnected. Abby's Cafe had replaced the Happy Owl Cafe, which first opened in the spot in the winter of 2011, replacing yet another eatery called Cafe 57 & Grille, which first opened in late 2009.

Little is currently known about Dash Cafe, including when it might open; as soon as we find out more information, we will post an update here.

[May 9 update: An Allston-Brighton Newsflash post mentions that Dash Cafe is now open for business. The post states that the eatery is open for breakfast and lunch, and a weekend brunch menu will be added toward the end of the month. (Thanks to the Boston Globe's Allston-Brighton Twitter page for bringing this to our attention.)]

The address for this upcoming dining spot in Brighton will be: Dash Cafe, 5 Henshaw Street, Brighton, MA, 02135.
