Cooking for a Cause Returns to Boston April 1, 2011

A culinary event that benefits a Cambridge community center and social service agency returns to Boston in April, with food, drink, and live music included.

According to the East End House website, the 8th Annual Cooking for a Cause will be held on Friday, April 1 at the Plaza Ballroom in the Seaport Hotel from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The event will feature food from local chefs along with drinks from mixologists and a variety of craft beers and local wines offered as well. Music will be supplied by the Winiker Orchestra, a local band that is known in part for their authentic swing music.

Tickets to the 2011 Cooking for a Cause event cost $125, with proceeds once again benefiting the East End House Community Center, which is a nonprofit, multi-service social service center that first started out in 1875.

The Seaport Hotel is located on 1 Seaport Lane along the Boston waterfront.
